old dan yeller

is Danielle, a smallish 27-year-old born and raised in suburban Long Island, who escaped to Brooklyn, then Ecuador, and has returned for graduate school, where she'll soon obtain her MFA in Creative Writing. She likes food a whole lot, and exercise a whole little, so you can see where this is going. She writes all sorts of things - plays, poems, fiction, nonfiction - though she much prefers doing just about anything else. She has never actually seen Old Yeller. She likes the challenge of keeping plants alive, but doesn't always rise to meet it. Oh, and not a bad cook. Ask her to make you a smoothie.

My friend Emily made a short film today. Our job was to look at our hands as though we were tripping.
