old dan yeller

is Danielle, a smallish 26-year-old born and raised in suburban Long Island, who escaped to Brooklyn, then Ecuador, and has returned for graduate school, where she'll soon obtain her MFA in Creative Writing. She likes food a whole lot, and exercise a whole little, so you can see where this is going. She writes all sorts of things - plays, poems, fiction, nonfiction - but none of that is here. She has never actually seen Old Yeller. She likes the challenge of keeping plants alive, but doesn't always rise to meet it. Oh, and not a bad cook. Ask her to make you a smoothie.

Phillip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread. If I know my audience, at least four of you will love this.

This is a one-act play by David Ives, which is part of his semi-Absurd All in the Timing collection. Every play in the collection is hilarious and brilliant.
